2016 was Bob's most successful season to date winning the prestigious White Jersey in the Giro d'Italia and finishing an incredible 6th overall on GC. Bob won the Young Rider category at the 2016 Tirreno-Adriatico, Stage 1 of the Tour of Oman and both the Luxembourg Road and TT National Championships. To top off an incredible season Bob and his Quick-Step team won the 2016 UCI Team Time-Trial World Championship in Doha.
Despite his youth, Bob Jungels is a well-known name to cycling fans. He was the 2010 World Junior Time-Trial Champion and one of the most exciting Under-23's in the World before turning pro.
As an Under-23, Bob won a host of the World's most prestigious races including Paris-Roubaix, Fléche du Sud and many more. It was results like these that attracted the interest of the Trek team where Bob raced from 2013-2015. 2015 was a coming of age season for Bob, winning Étoile de Bességes, both Luxembourg National titles and competing in his first Tour de France finishing in the top 30 overall and 5th in the Young Rider category. With an extremely strong final week which included a top 15 at l'Alpe d'Huez and being a prominent rider in most breakaways over the course of the middle and closing weeks, Bob outlined his potential for stage racing.
